A Snapshot into The Stable
Nichol-Gunn Equestrian works for the horses. Taking in unwanted horses who are in need of a home and officially, incorporating SA Outback Horse Traders, the largest buyers of horses in South Australia. Yes we pay for horses.

What happens to them? All horses are trained and assessed under saddle before being placed in loving homes. Some go to auction, some are sold privately (and this is our preferred method). Many horses have been sold interstate and consequently we pride ourselves on our honesty. All horses are well fed, vetted and cared for by an experienced professional.
Junior riders complete our team and assist in working up ponies and galloways and showing them where ever viable.
What happens when horses are deamed dangerous? This takes a thorough assessment. However, upon completion if horses are deamed unsuitable for re-homing they are sadly knackery bound. As we work for the horse, this is not a decision that is reached lightly, but as we are not a charity, we do not believe it in the horses best interest to be passed from pillar to post and often wind up falling into the hands of neglect. We see this many times.
Nichol-Gunn also offers training for those who need help with their humans in addition to lessons and coming soon, a saddle club where young equestrians can learn all about horses. From day to day care and riding.
